To calculate how long your document is, use this Microsoft Word® utility:
Tools > Count words.

This is one of the parameters we need to make a quotation.

Use to be made of your text

If we know the end use, we can propose the best solution. Will the text be used for your sector, whether "in-house" or externally (e.g. a report/offer/contract); or for a much broader audience such as a website, advertising brochure or some other publication.

Degree of urgency

Our quotation will be affected by how much time you can allow us compared to the document's length. The more time available, the lower our price can be!

Conclusion

The above main factors (plus other minor ones) will influence our quotation. A generic, non-urgent, English-into-Italian job for internal use only can cost as little as 0.07 euro cents per word. This price that cannot be applied to an advertising headline requiring a translator/copywriter to put in hours of work behind the scenes!
