One of Ivor's specialisations while studying Economics at Leicester University was, in his final year, the Economics of Transport.
Ivor's first "serious" job in Italy was for
Norasia Lines, a leading in container-shipping services between northern Europe and Asia, with transits in the Middle East.
For two years Ivor was Assistant to the Regional Manager (Adriatic: Austria, Croatia, Italy) Mr Gerard Troisi with the task of optimising loadings, starting 6 weeks in advance, on a 450 TEUS feeder vessel which "served" the Adriatic Ports and which connected to 2,000 TEUS vessels at Malta.
As a translator Ivor deals a lot with transport - websites in particular - for these companies among others:
ACTV, Venice's public transport company
Vela, Venice's public transport marketing company
SAVE, Marco Polo Airport - Venice's International Airport
Rome Airports
Trenitalia, Italy's state railway company, with all its connected- and sub-sites
Autostrade, Italy's motorway company
